Muller Dairies - an upgrade
Following the successful operation of a Megacell 30 to treat primary effluent and act as a biological sludge thickener when required Muller Dairies have recently purchased a second Megacell 30 to treat their biological sludge. The new plant is installed along side the original Megacell and will treat a maximum of 168 m3/hr of effluent containing up to 5,000 mg/l of biomass. Floated sludge consistency is greater than 3% which will greatly reduce transport costs off site. KWI UK supplied and installed the new Megacell MCH 30 which was successfully commissioned in September 2011.
